La Réunion is a magical isle with its fantastic hiking trails and its sensational rugged topography, especially the Cirque de Mafate and the Piton de la Fournaise, one of the world’s most accessible active volcanoes. These hikes are quite exhausting but you will be rewarded with fantastic panoramas and sceneries with awesome mountainscapes, emerald forests and tumbling waterfalls.

“Welcome to paradise”, sounded the voice of the pilot through the loudspeakers as we were landing in Mauritius and I soon realized why. The island offers not only mile-long white beaches and turquoise-blue sea, but also many religious buildings and a rich Indian cultural heritage. I was very  fascinated by Mauritius multicultural population living together in peace.
